Doctor Doom vs. Mister Fantastic
Reed Richards, the Earth-616 original. In this site's ratings, classic Doctor Doom wins 54% of their one-on-one fights, so it is close to a coin flip.
Fight rules: both fighters at their peak, no preparation, no allies, only their own powers and personal gear. A win is a knockout, a restraint they can't escape, or a forced surrender. The percentages are fan estimates, not official information.
Doom's edge
Armor his stretching punches can't dent, sorcery Reed has never mastered, and decades of counters built just for him: Doom has frozen him stiff (FF #200), stolen his body (FF #10) and overpowered him on the astral plane (One World Under Doom #7).
Mister Fantastic's edge
The one mind Doom has never out-thought for long, a body that soaks up blasts and slips any hold, a suit that shrugs off Doom's shock field, and a lifetime of finding the flaw, from the shrinking ray (FF #10) to the mirrored crystals (FF #200).
Odds against every version of Doom
Doom's chance of winning, version by version. The strongest Doom here, Beyonder-powered Doom, wins >99% of the time; the weakest, Fox Doom (2005), wins 16%. The last column says what moves each version away from classic Doom's 54%.

Reed Richards was a child prodigy from Central City, California, collecting doctorates by his teens. At State University he nearly roomed with Victor von Doom, who demanded private quarters instead; later Reed read Victor's notes for the machine he hoped would reach his mother's soul, warned him the calculations were off, and was thrown out, and the machine exploded in Victor's face (Fantastic Four Annual #2, 1964). Reed's unauthorized starship flight through a storm of cosmic rays turned him, his best friend Ben Grimm, and Sue and Johnny Storm into the Fantastic Four, and gave him a body he can stretch, flatten and reshape at will (FF #1, 1961). He married Sue in 1965 (FF Annual #3) and has led the family ever since. Doom has spent six decades trying to prove himself the better mind, and the closest he came was admitting the opposite on Battleworld (Secret Wars #9, 2015). In 2025 Doom named him executor of his will (One World Under Doom #9).
