Who is Mister Fantastic?

Pedro Pascal plays Reed Richards in The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025), set on Earth-828, a retro-futuristic world that looks like the 1960s. Four years after cosmic rays gave the team their powers, Reed is his world's most famous scientist and an anxious first-time father. When Galactus demanded his newborn son, Franklin, Reed designed teleportation bridges to move the whole planet out of reach, turned the last of them into a trap, and pulled Franklin out of Galactus's grasp himself. Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr., appears in the film's mid-credits scene, and Pascal returns in Avengers: Doomsday (Dec 18, 2026).
