The verdict: Thanos wins more often than not
Fight rules: both fighters at their peak, no preparation, no allies, only their own powers and personal gear. A win is a knockout, a restraint they can't escape, or a forced surrender. The percentages are fan estimates, not official information.
Doom's edge
Sorcery Thanos has never mastered, armor that survived a point-blank blast from the Infinity Gauntlet itself (Infinity Gauntlet #4, 1991), and a mind every bit the equal of the Mad Titan's. Under this site's rules there is no gem, no gauntlet and no Black Order to hide behind.
Thanos's edge
Strength and durability far past what Doom's armor was built for, centuries of cosmic warfare, a strategist's patience to match Doom's own, and a body that has come back from death more than once.

Thanos was born on Titan to the Eternals Mentor and Sui-San, and the Deviant traits in his blood gave him his size and gray, ridged skin. He fell in love with Death herself and has spent his life killing to win her favor. He gathered the six Infinity Gems into the Infinity Gauntlet and erased half of all life in the universe (Infinity Gauntlet #1, 1991), until Nebula took it from him and Adam Warlock undid the damage. In Infinity (2013) he invaded Earth with the Black Order while the Avengers were away in space, and his son Thane sealed him in amber (Infinity #6). Namor freed him, with Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive, to join the Cabal, which destroyed other Earths to stop the Incursions (New Avengers vol. 3 #23–24, 2014). When the multiverse ended, the Cabal rode it out in a life raft (Secret Wars #1, 2015) and woke on Doom's Battleworld eight years later (Secret Wars #2). Thanos took command of an Annihilation Wave, marched on Doomstadt and attacked God Emperor Doom, who killed him by tearing his spine from his body (Secret Wars #8). He returned to life after the multiverse was rebuilt.
