Doctor Doom vs. the Molecule Man
Owen Reece, the man whose power made Doom a god, and then took it away. In this site's ratings, classic Doctor Doom wins 10% of their one-on-one fights, so Doom is a long shot.
The verdict: Molecule Man is the clear favorite
Fight rules: both fighters at their peak, no preparation, no allies, only their own powers and personal gear. A win is a knockout, a restraint they can't escape, or a forced surrender. The percentages are fan estimates, not official information.
Doom's edge
Owen's limits are in his head, and Doom has studied that head up close: they spent the end of the multiverse together. Owen is also a below-average fighter who doesn't understand machines, and he can be talked into things.
Molecule Man's edge
He can reshape any molecule he chooses, lift a mountain or seal a city in a dome and pull it into space. He held the Beyonders' power that made Doom a god, and when he chose, he switched it off with Doom standing in front of him (Secret Wars #9, 2015).

Doom's chance of winning, version by version. The strongest Doom here, Beyonder-powered Doom, wins 95% of the time; the weakest, God Emperor Doom, wins 1%. The last column says what moves each version away from classic Doom's 10%.

- What he is
- A singularity the Beyonders planted in every universe, a bomb waiting to go off
Owen Reece was a lab technician whose accident left him with control over matter itself, power that, it turned out, flowed from the Beyonders' realm. On the first Battleworld, Doom made him his right-hand man (Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars #3, 1984); Owen dropped a mountain on the heroes (#4) and later sealed Denver in a dome and pulled it into space (#11). In Time Runs Out Doom found him again, and the two traveled through time (New Avengers vol. 3 #29, 2015). Owen explained that every Molecule Man in every universe was a bomb the Beyonders had planted, so Doom built the Black Swans' religion to hunt and kill them, and then turned the survivors into the weapon that killed the Beyonders (New Avengers vol. 3 #33; Secret Wars #5, 2015). The Beyonders' power ran through Owen, and Doom kept him hidden in a garden at Doomstadt as the secret source of his godhood (Secret Wars #5). In the end Owen switched that power off so Doom and Reed could fight on equal terms, and when Doom admitted Reed would have done better, Owen gave it to Reed (Secret Wars #9). Pieces of him anchor every reality rebuilt afterward.
