The verdict: A coin flip, with Magneto by a hair

Fight rules: both fighters at their peak, no preparation, no allies, only their own powers and personal gear. A win is a knockout, a restraint they can't escape, or a forced surrender. The percentages are fan estimates, not official information.

Doom's edge

Doom's sorcery doesn't care about magnetism, and his will is every bit as strong as Magneto's. They sat on the same council of villains (Acts of Vengeance, 1989 to 1990), and Doom didn't trust that council enough to come in person.

Magneto's edge

Command of magnetism on a planetary scale: he flies, raises force fields, tears metal apart, and once ripped the adamantium out of Wolverine's skeleton (X-Men #25, 1993). Doom's armor is made of metal.
